About the Virtual Darts League

Our History & Growth

Originally set up by founders Jeeves and Crofty, the Virtual Darts League (VDL) started with just a handful of players in its first season. Today, we are proud to be entering our 8th season in the Summer of 2026.

From those humble beginnings, the VDL has grown exponentially. The league's success allowed Jeeves to open a physical darts store, DartNation, providing equipment to players nationwide. Meanwhile, Crofty remains an active and vital part of the server community.

The complex spreadsheets Crofty originally designed to track player performance and keep the league running smoothly now handle over 400 active players, categorized across 4 bands and 40 separate divisions (10 divisions per band). This robust infrastructure allows the league to remain highly organized and competitive, pairing players of similar skill levels so everyone can compete at their peak.

At VDL, we hold competitive integrity in the highest regard. To ensure all games remain balanced and fair, we strictly enforce our guidelines. We have zero tolerance for cheating or unsportsmanlike behavior.
